I had the best time at Cool Bananas. The atmosphere is amazing and I have never seen such a clean hostel. The staff is always friendly and helpful. I just couldn't stop extending my stay and in the end it was really hard to leave but I'm definitely gonna come back.

Congratulations to Greg and your staff for making Cool Bananas a truly great experience.I arrived feeling very unwell with a bout of the flue after a 7 hour drive and I felt at home instantly. Thanks Greg the Lemsip done wonders.Thank you Richard for the amazing $7-00 meals and the Crepes which I still miss.I have tried to make them however I can't master the art,I will have to get the recipe next time I come.As a older traveler I didn't know how I would fit in with the young backpackers, but no need to worry,it was lovely talking to the young ones from all over the world.I have stayed in other hostels overseas and am so proud to say that Australia has the best (Cool Bananas) Agnes Waters. The staff do a fabulous job as it is so very clean, the kitchen is clean and spacious, the amenities are also clean and the lounge area is comfortable, great dorms, also great WI FI. I have been reading reviews stating that there is little to do at Agnes Waters and 1770,this is not true. This place has some of the most beautiful walks in Australia, the fishing is good ,it's a perfect place to learn how to surf,The museum is the best, the cafes and Tavern have amazing food. The Lark which is a Amphibious (boat-vehicle)which takes passengers over water and along beautiful beaches is not to be missed (I can recommend the full day tour to Bustard Heads Lighthouse )There are also shorter trips, all a lot of fun.Cool Bananas have some great tours for those travelers who don,t have a car.The full day, meals included boat trip to Lady Musgrave Island,is on my list as one of the best things to do in Australia,The water is pristine clear, the very best for snorkeling,The reef is amazing, there is also a mini submarine and glass bottom boat for those who don't like to get wet,Check to see if boat is back in operation as it was out of service for awhile. For those who like long walks, stay a little longer and do the full day walk of Deep Water National Park, where you will see wild life and pristine secluded beaches,it is a long walk but well worth it. Thanks Estelle
