Quiet, clean and lovely people. Highly recommended. The Tablelands are amazing and this hostel is part of that amazingness. It is near a liquor and a convenience store. The dogs are their best assets, especially Chief.

We had the best time at on the Wallaby, the staff is great and they have so much knowledge about the area and wildlife. The mountain biking tour was good fun and a bit of hard work ;) the day after we just relaxed in the hammocks and enjoyed the BBQ. Lot's of great and safe!! swimming holes in the area!!

Paul, Maree, Trace, Darius and the whole crew at On the Wallaby are so wonderful. They really do make On the Wallaby a 'home for those who roam'. This is great place to explore the Tablelands from. They can set up excursions for you. I've been here a couple of time now, and each time they host one of our groups, they make delicious meals and make sure we have the best time. This place is well worth the effort to come to if you are exploring the Queensland area, or even as an overnight up from Cairns.
