Your homely stay will be cosy and unique, making it an ideal base to explore the attractions around Cairns.

Set in a beautiful, landscaped tropical garden with a sparkling pool, chilled out music, plenty of hammocks and a grassy lawn to sunbathe and relax.

Facilities

All rooms have fresh linen and towels, ceiling fans and coin-operated air-conditioning.

There is a breakfast with bread and spreads, bikes, bed linen, and towels on the premises: 24-hour internet, pool table and a bbq area.

Enjoy our famous all-you-can-eat pizza nights. Or join other backpackers at a weekly BBQ, which serves up helpings of kangaroo, crocodile, emu, fish and plenty of salads.

Hop on the courtesy bus to the city centre, which is provided free of charge!

A short walk will bring you to Cairns Central Shopping Mall. Here you can find supermarkets, a post office, banks, food outlets, cinemas and many more.

    This place is everything you are looking for in a packpacker (or at least all I look for): friendly and helpful staff, extremely clean, with great free wifi and free tea/coffee/bread. The outdoor area is beautiful and the perfect place to relax. Unwind on one of the many hammocks, bean bags or lounges chairs. I hesitated to book a bed...

    Tropic Days was by far the best hostel we stayed in during our East Coast travels. It was super clean, the beds were comfy and it had a very homey feel. There were lots of complimentary shuttle runs from the hostel into town which is ideal as it is a little outside of the town. I highly recommend staying in the private room as it had our own mini kitchen, bathroom and flat screen tv with over a 1000 movies. They also had other amenities that other hostels don't have such as unlimited free wifi, towel service and soap and blow dryers. Thanks Tropic Days for making our stay amazing!
