  • Courses start on Tuesday each week
  •  8:30 am to 4:30 pm each day (approximate)

Scuba diving is the ultimate adventure and the best way to explore the beauty of the Great Barrier Reef! This Learn to Dive Port Douglas PADI Open Water Certification course is over four days, with the theory component held in the Port Douglas Dive Centre classroom, day 2 in the pool, and days 3 and 4 on the Great Barrier Reef!

The first two days of the course are at the diver training centre, where you will learn dive theory in the classroom and the necessary skills of scuba diving in the pool.

Days three and four are on the Great Barrier Reef aboard a modern dive catamaran, during which you will complete four training dives under the direct supervision of your instructor.

At the end of Day 4, you will be a PADI Open Water Diver! You will potentially have the opportunity to do two additional pleasure dives as a certified diver.

The 4-day course comprises two components:

  • Two days of classroom and pool training
  • 2 x 1-day trips to the Outer Great Barrier Reef
