Kiana Sailing and Diving Whitsundays

Step onboard the only Sailing Trip that takes you outside the Whitsunday Islands to explore the Coral Reefs beyond! Spend 3 Days and 2 Nights onboard Kiana, both Sailing, Snorkelling, and Diving while you feel your stresses melt away. With your first Scuba Dive free, this is certainly a trip well worth it!

Departing from Coral Sea Marina, this 60ft cutter-rigged ketch, fully equipped for diving with a dive compressor onboard, offers the best way to get to the Outer Barrier Reef from Airlie Beach. Purposely built and fitted to provide guests with the ultimate diving experience in the Whitsundays, this trip offers everything you need to make your Whitsundays Sail and Dive trip complete.

Welcome aboard SV Kiana

Due to the vessel having a deep draft, the vessel has ample space below the deck, providing a more comfortable airconditioned area for guests indoors. There is no need to worry about the steamy tropical evenings on this vessel!

Not only does the vessel offer Shared Single and Double Berths, but it also offers Private Twin Shared Cabins. That is to say that Kiana can comfortably cater up to 14 guests on this Sail and Dive Adventure! Additionally, you will find two spacious bathrooms onboard with electric toilets and freshwater showers.

You will have the chance to spread out on the top deck of Kiana from time to time. Here you will find plenty of room to relax on the bow under the sails or gear up for your snorkel and dive adventures. Enjoy the fresh sea breezes while you catch the fantastic sunrises and sunsets reflecting over the shimmering seas.

As a result of the permanently shaded Aft Deck, you will always have a place to escape the tropical sun or the occasional tropical shower.

Being one of the only Sailing trips from the Whitsundays that can travel to the outer reefs, Kiana is certainly a trip not to miss out on!

Itinerary

And how does our trip look?

The itinerary offered onboard is completely flexible due to the trip being dependent on weather. In saying this, the itinerary can change from trip to trip to ensure that your Snorkelling and Diving experience is in optimal conditions.

On your trip, you will get to visit Bait Reef. This Reef Location, protected from fishing, offers a rich diversity of marine life. When we moor within the lagoon area of this reef, we are sheltered from the winds making your stay and diving more comfortable.

Spend an afternoon on Whitehaven Beach to explore the vast white silicon-rich sands that never get hot beneath your feet. While you take in the clear azure waters that gently lap the beach, you will feel that real sense of peace in paradise.

Visit Hill Inlet Lookout and witness the everchanging swirling sands at low tide.

Then visit Hook Island which offers some of the best diving and snorkelling around the inner islands of the Whitsunday Island Group.

As a result of travelling to remote areas, around the Islands, there is limited or no service. The Captain will advise you of the areas when you will be back in range.

To better prepare for your arrival, please advise of any dietary requirements at the time of booking.

Flying and Scuba Diving

After a single no decompression scuba dive, you should not fly or go to altitude for at least 18 hours after a scuba dive. For multiple scuba dives, you should not fly for 24 hours after your last dive. This includes Skydiving and Hot Air Ballooning.

We recommend waiting a minimum of 24 hours whenever possible.
