Dreamtime Mossman Gorge and Wildlife
Discover indigenous culture in enchanted settings and natural marvels when joining your Dreamtime Walk at Mossman Gorge. Make some new furry friends (and some not-so furry) at Wildlife Habitat in Port Douglas. Explore deep into the Rainforest and find magical waterfalls and also swimming holes.
Take in the Scenery
Before taking in the breathtaking views from Flagstaff Hill, enjoy a brief sightseeing tour of Port Douglas. Take in the views of the expansive Four Mile Beach, and visit the iconic Port Douglas Sugar Wharf. Eventually it will be time to head over to the Wildlife Habitat.

Meet the Wildlife
Explore the many different habitats at the Wildlife Habitat and meet the animals that call them home. You’ll be able to hand-feed kangaroos and wallabies while you explore the Savannah Habitat. Watch the birds flit around the Woodlands habitat, and see if you can spot the colourful finches. Explore the Wetlands Habitat, and check out the variety of wading birds. Certainly don’t forget to stop in and Meet Cass and Airlie, the two resident Cassowaries! So if you time it right, you will be able to hand-feed these amazing birds. It certainly is an experience!
Explore the Indigenous Culture
Sooner or later it will be time to continue north to Mossman Gorge. Anyone visiting Port Douglas surely needs to make time to see Mossman Gorge! Explore a small part of this 56,000-hectare portion of the World Heritage-listed Daintree National Park, which is certainly famous for its lush rainforests and stunning scenery. The Mossman Gorge Centre offers an amazing experience to connect with the Australian Indigenous people’s lives, customs, and also their traditional stories. So make sure you learn everything you can about their relationship to the natural world! Mossman Gorge also serves as the gateway to the Daintree Rainforest, the world’s oldest rainforest.

Join your Dreamtime Walk, where your Indigenous Guide will lead you through a Smoking Ceremony as well as a Welcome to Country Ceremony. Take part in an interactive guided tour to discover more about their culture. Learn about traditional plant use, bush food as well as traditions handed down through the generations.
All in all, this is an amazing way to explore the Rainforest, Indigenous Culture and Wildlife all in a day!
