Good to Know
You don’t need a marine licence to take the helm, but drivers must be at least 18 years of age. For those who’d rather sit back and relax, a skipper can be hired to do the driving for you. Whether you’re casting a line, sightseeing, or simply enjoying time on the water, Cairns Boat Hire gives you the chance to create your own adventure.

- Our crew will provide an introductory and safety briefing, as well as tips on the best fishing spots for the tides and day / time of travel. They are also on-hand to help you set off and re-dock your boat at the end.

What to bring
- A hat, sun block, insect repellent, sunglasses, a smile on your dial and camera.
- At least one person should have a mobile phone, in case you need to contact us.
- You are also welcome to BYO drinks and snacks, rods and bait, ice and esky (or we can prepare and provide that for you).

Berth A1, The Marlin Marina in Cairns.
Important Information
- Driver Requirements: No marine licence required, but the driver / hirer must be aged at least 18 years old.
- Infants & Children: Infants can sit on parents’ lap. Children aged 2 years old and upwards must have their own seat. Children aged 12 years and under must wear a life jacket. Life jackets are provided and included in the boat hire rate.
- Pease note there is no swimming in Trinity Inlet at any time, due to the presence of saltwater crocodiles.
