Turtle Hospital Tour
First, join our passionate guides for a special visit to the Cairns Turtle Rehabilitation Centre. This volunteer-run, not-for-profit organisation cares for sick and injured sea turtles. During this 30-minute guided tour, you’ll meet the turtles currently recovering and, at the same time, learn about the dangers they face. For example, marine debris, boat strikes, and climate change all threaten the survival of Australia’s six species of sea turtles. To understand more about these global challenges, you can also explore resources from WWF Australia – Marine Turtles.
Explore the Aquarium
Your ticket also includes general admission to the Cairns Aquarium, home to over 16,000 aquatic animals and spectacular ecosystems found only in Tropical North Queensland. Wander through immersive exhibits that showcase the Wet Tropics Rainforest, the Great Barrier Reef, and the vibrant life that connects these two World Heritage areas. To see why they are so significant, visit the Wet Tropics Management Authority and the UNESCO Great Barrier Reef listing. Furthermore, interactive displays and immersive habitats make this visit engaging for children and adults alike.
