Looking for the ultimate reef experience? Forget day trips and dive into something truly unforgettable with Reefsleep, a once-in-a-lifetime overnight adventure on the outer Great Barrier Reef.
This isn’t your average hotel stay. This is a night on the Great Barrier Reef, 40 nautical miles offshore, where your room is a comfy Reefbed and your ceiling is a sky full of stars. It’s part glamping, part ocean safari – and 100% magical.
What to Expect
Departing from Airlie Beach, your journey begins with a scenic cruise through the Whitsunday Islands, landing at Hardy Reef, home to the iconic Reefworld Pontoon. By day, explore the reef with included activities like snorkelling, semi-submarine guided tours, and access to the underwater observatory. Feast on a fresh buffet lunch, swim alongside tropical marine life, and maybe even try a scuba dive (optional add-on)!
As the day-trippers leave, the pontoon becomes your private floating oasis. Sip on a cold drink as the sun dips below the horizon, then enjoy a gourmet dinner under the stars. When you’re ready to turn in, your double Reefbed awaits on the upper deck, with the ocean gently lapping beneath you and the Milky Way above.
Wake up to the peace of a reef untouched by the crowds, with time for one last snorkel before cruising back to the mainland with memories that’ll stay with you forever.
